Shocking and still in denial! My prayers go out to the immediately, church, and facebook/twitter family of the late Dr. Zachary Tims! I just heard about it maybe at 2AM this morning. Lord I was not expecting to receive that email. But I know you are able to keep everyone in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee. Lord while this is a tough pill to swallow, we lift up everyone who is affected by this sad news of the passing of our TV Pastor, radio host, husband, father, family member and friend of Dr, Zachary Tims. Please Daddy, let nothing be hid that needs to be uncovered while investigators do their job to find out what really happened in that hotel room in NY. Provide every need especially to the spouse and children of this great man of God. You know what’s best and how to call them into your kingdom. We all have to travel that road one day, just let the ones who’s left be ready when our name is called and let us be on he battlefield doing your work. I pray that you will get all the glory even in this situation. I speak peace and healing into the atmosphere to every heart who is hurting even now in Jesus name, – another soldier for your cause Father has been summons to go home – in the name of Jesus the Christ, Amen

  24. Lively says:

The Word tells us in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 the advantage of not being alone. A threefold cord is not quickly broken. I want to say to all those single men in particular and even women of God that you really need to travel with someone if you are not married. Stop being so superspritual as if you can do things alone so easily. Remember, Jesus traveled with his 12 disciples and then sometimes he only had his inner circle Peter, James, and John but he made sure he usually had someone with him as he was praying, healing and engaging in deliverance. Now if we say WWJD then follow his example beloved. Its sad to see this great man of God leave so soon and no one but an autopsy can give some explanation as to what happen. Enough is enough and we must understand these principalities in the various dimensions beyond what we see, must be eliminated as you are on your mission for the Lord. Prayer warriors and prophets must be called to seek the Father for approval and clarity before going into these various territories. We must summons angels, gather our weaponary before engaging in spiritual warfare. God has given us spiritual arenal weapons to make us victorious everytime. While we can be deep and say, “well it was his time”… Really? Was it? The Word tells me that we are to live at least 70 yrs and that was a promise. God went a step further and said, he would give man up to 120 maximum. However, Pastor Tim did not get to 3 scores and this hurts because I see satan killing, stealing and destroying here. No the devil did not win nor was he victorious cause Pastor Tim is in the arms of the Father but the enemy still got in and took someone valuable from the body of Christ before the promise time allowed.. Lets start disallowing on earth and in the other regions of the earth hostile takeovers. Hind sight is always 20/20 but only had someone been there in the room, had Pastor taken ill, they could have gotten him help or call 911. Just as importantly, some of you need to get married and stay married and those who don’t want to get married you need to take an armor bearer or someone GODLY with you. Remember and study what Solomon meant about the threefold cord. It was companionship. You study the rest for yourself. However, May Pastor Tim RIP. Father we are sadden and disappointed but this did not come as a surprise to you because you are all knowing, but we ask in Jesus name that you please dispatch angels to bring peace and comfort to Pastor’s surviving family and church members. In Jesus name, Amen!

  25. Sharon Anderson says:

Blessing to Pastor Tims children, Pastor Riva, when our children hurt we hurt, and his family and church. give them everything that they need Lord.
will keep praying for you all.

  26. Allison Panzella says:

Dear Jesus, in your name, I pray the peace that surpasses all understanding for all of the friends and family of Dr. Tims. In this time I would like to honor Dr. Tims with a shout of praise to our Lord and even though this news comes as a devistating shock,we must trust that God’s plan is without blemish.Lord we lift you in this time and ask for the strength that only you can give. Mighty man of God you will be greatly missed. I’m trading my sorrow today and I pray the hand of God on his children in the name of Jesus. Amen Romans 8;38,39

  27. Lifting the family and the New Destiny Center Church are in my prayers durning time knowing that God is in total control of everything. R.I.P Pastor Zachery Tims Jr the Lord has called you home to take your place in our Fathers Heavenly Kingdom.

HEDGE THE CHILDREN IN LIKE NEVER BEFORE LORD, WITH YOUR MIGHTY HANDS.I WILL TRULY MISS THIS WONDERFUL MAN OF GOD, NO MATTER WHAT HE WAS CHOSEN FOR THE TIME GOD ALLOWED. REST ON PASTOR TIMS, REST ON LOVED YOU

  29. Evang of Brooklyn says:

Our prayers are with the family, and the church family at this time, we pray for God’s comforting spirt to embrace and comfort and meet every need at this time of sorrow. He will be missed, what a mighty man of God!

  30. Apostle A. Salazar says:

To the entire (personal & church) family of Pastor Z. Tims, in the midst of my co-mingled tears of sadness and celebration my prayer is that God’s perfect will continue to be done in your lives. That the promises of His comfort, peace and love be your in this time of crisis. May the strength that you have claimed in Christ, be that which holds you safely in the arms of God and may your minds stay strong and focused on God, as he heals your aching souls. May you forever be kept in the arms of Him who keeps us all in Christ, Jesus! Father! Wrap them in your arms and father them!

    Apostle A. Salazar

  31. This came to me as a shock! However, Let’s not forget that “to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord”….We will all miss this great man of God on this side…..The Lord is in control and saw fit to allow this….At the age of 42….Look at all the lives that were being touched by him? Could it be that his work here on earth has completed? Only God knows….My prayers are with the family and the church family.

  32. Pastor Leo Carter says:

We must pray for all of our Pastor’s and Bishops, I don’t know nor do I care about whatever they found on him. I know that people get lost and when men get lost we are silent, please if you have a love one in crisis talking to do live them,It’s just sad.

  33. Elder A Mitchell says:

Very Shocked To hear of Pastor TIM’S Passing I Am praying for his family and Church Family and will encourage our prayer group to pray as well!

  34. Nicole says:

Saints, put that weed, crack, smack, pill and whatever else you doing down. Satan is using this addiction to sorcery translated from the greek word ‘pharmakeia’ to injure and send members of the body of Christ to hell. Let’s quit acting like we don’t know what’s going on. My prayers go out for his ex wife and his children. The word of God says that you can’t serve two masters and Pastor Tim’s time ran out. God didn’t take him. Sin was the result of his death. Keep it real and 100 saints. He was a good teacher. May God have mercy on his tormented soul….21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

  35. Evangelist Dollie Curry says:

I too was shocked and sadden when I heard of Pastor Zachery Tims’ death. I will be praying for his family and church family. We as the Body of Christ should always pray for our leaders (pastors, preachers, bishops, teachers, evangelists) and the each other. I believe that I will see Pastor Tims in heaven. Prayer is our powerful weapon for warfare. Prayer in the Spirit is needed daily! May the death of Pastor Tims give us another wake-up call, which causes us to be a “watchman on the wall”!!!

  36. 1st Corinthians 15:55 – O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy voctory? The sting of death is sin and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor Tims has the ultimate blessing and victory the world could not give him. He is at a place of peace, joy and sweet communion. Revelation 21:21 And the gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparant glass.
The man is in heaven. It is where we all want to go.
Pastor Tims, I know you are having a blast in heaven.

May the Lord keep his family, friends and church members and remind them he is in heaven. Family, friends, church members who have a relationship with God rejoice you will see him again.

  37. Ms. Odell Jackson says:

I’m just seeing this, I’ m not family, but I am apart of God’s family. I am so very sorry to hear this and my sincere and heartfelt prayers go out to all of his family. God says in his word, “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning”. I believe, God means the joy of rememberance. God is sovereign and we now have to let go and let God do what he does in providing his comfort to the family through this.

  38. karen says:

I just want to make a few comments about a man I did not know personally, but somehow I’m feeling a lose. I dont claim to be the most spiritual or a Theologian. I do however know what my spirit feels. I whatched this young man on TBN a few times and at first I could not get over how much he and Will Smith look alike, after that I listened to what he was saying. I was glad that he was speaking and teaching Gods word with passion. I was glad to see a young black man on fire for God and not a gun. I will not take up prescious time judging or speaking what I dont know, so my prayers are with his church, and his family. May God bless them and keep them as only he can.

  39. pastor samuel thompson says:

  40. harry's wife says:

  41. Praise the lord everybody! This news i just recieved from my famiy here in Baltimore 8/15/11 Moday afternoon comes as a great shock to me my family and my chuch family!I would like to begin by saying i just dealt with another sudden lost of a family friend tragically killed but as the minister said at the service who”s next so i want to keep it real to as we express our feelings for the lost of this awesome man of God be careful what you say because we all have to go before God one day so as believers in the body of chist no matter what were suppose to hold each other up not tear down th e fist chance we get!To the family and NDCC.FLA my prayers go out to you at this time.To this awesome man of God you will deeply be missed.RIP until we meet again. To the country make sure your ready to answer the call when your time comes and die daily from your worldlyness each day because this could be any of us so dont judge and say any negativeness just pray.God Bless you all BlessedOne!

  43. Michael Chinnery says:

I pray that the Faith of the believer remains anchored in God during this time of great lost in the body of Christ. Peace

  44. It is unbelievable. He is one of the pastors that I really admire. He is so sincere about our great God. I love it when he’s hosting TBN. I know I will miss him and his wonderful preaching. I lost my husband just two weeks ago and it’s still as if it just hapened yesterday so for sure my heart go out to his companion and children. The prayers of the righteous availeth much. You know he is a God man when you see how many people who has taken time out to send their love out to his family.

  45. Luke Easter says:

Zachary Tims (In Memorial) No One Is Immune

Once, twice, three times, maybe more, tell me what went wrong?
No one is surprised about athletes but a pastor singing this song?
8,000+ members in sunny Florida, two locations, Zachary Tims,
Cocaine! Dead @ 42 preaching the word exactly how did it end?

August 12, Big Apple, New York City, not answering the door,
For his safety, hotel security broke in, OMG! Dead on the floor,
Bolted from the inside, jewelry, personal belongings, all intact,
No robbery, no assault, no wounds, foul play or deadly attack.

Started his ministry with 4 people & by chance in a hotel room,
What are the odds different hotel same location spells his doom?
Envelop of white powder believed to be narcotics in his pocket,
Well, now it makes sense for privacy he had to dead bolt lock it.

New Destiny Christian Center began in 1966, despite his past,
Attempted murder charges, addiction, prayed it would not last,
Wife Rita left in 2008 as Zachary admitted an, “indiscretion,”
She began Majestic Life Ministries, preaching’s her profession.

They spent time together in Puerto Rico a week before his death,
With their 4-kids, maybe depression digested in one last breath,
Pastor Zachary was a regular on, “Praise The Lord” with TBN,
August 20th he’ll be laid to rest surrounded by family & friends.

Scandals so many scandals ending with death beginning at birth,
No matter race, creed, color, who you know , what you’re worth,
We train and tame wild animals but not the mouth, too many lies,
When the, “Almighty” says it’s time to depart no one can survive.

  46. celena says:

A brother I never met in person, but watched, learned, and was lifted up and educated from tv. A brother I know in Spirit, cuz my heart is in pain and my mind can’t grasp this tragedy!!! My prayers go out to all that will missd the man of God. I pray that the Word of God that was taught from this saint grows and manifest from our spirits to produce fruit and give God all the glory!!! I pray that only the truth be revealed….it still sounds like a set up..just as Abel’s blood cried out to His…may our brother’s also….as God knows all things. Father…I pray justify our brothers death..as we celebrate his arrival home to U…

  47. Betty says:

First, My prayers go out to the family and the church. We as a people of God muct learn to put our trust in God and not in man. I last saw this man on TBN and he looked different although there were no physical changes and he was “just different” I couldn’t figure out why but I did see a change in him, he appeared to be somewhat sad but attempting to cover it up. His zeal wasn’t there on this particular evening he was hosting TBN.

I noticed something different it was as though he was just going through the motions. Preachers are people just as we are and they go through things and they have problems and they also suffer many things that we know not of. I feel bad becacause we have placed these preachers on a pedistal and even when they feel that they may need help in any area; we have made it so hard for them to reach out for help because of where we have placed them in our churches and on TV.

what Iam saying is that perhaps he was afraid and felt that he couldn’t go to anyone in spite of his problems because they perhaps would see him as a failure…no that’s not true we are all human and we all fall short. Let’s begin to be real with each other and stop pretending that all is well. The bilble sys that we will suffer persecution and that we will have trials and we will go through tribulation. Yes, we as saints, pators, minister, minister’s wives will fall down; it is predicted in the bible.

If we can be real with each other and stop judging and stop holding these pastors up so high, yes we honor and respect them but they are HUMAN…just like we are and humans make mistakes.
Please in the Name of jesus let us be real in the pulpit and out of it and not be so quick to judge. Bear one anothers burdens and not judge.

This man trusted God but somewhere in the midst something greater than him crept in..not greater than God but greater than him.he didn’t know how to get back. Prayers go out to his family. Hold your heads up and walk forward. This was a tragedy. We have lost a Good, Godly person who, for one moment, took a quick turn with the intention of turning back. God rest his souls and have mercy.

  48. Rob says:

I think that the main funeral services should have been opened to at least one media outlet to record the services so the many people around the world were able to share and grieve as well. Though the family requested a provate service wirh no media oulets present, one has to think that person with such high profile in thier lives and visability in media outllets all over the country are no longer private citizens as the world watch their teachings, preachings and persona. Maybe an authorized tape will be released for pepole across the world to purchase on behalf of the childdren of what had to be some awesome preaching and singing at that service of the late Dr. Tims.

  49. Stay1071 says:

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Rest in peace Pastor Tims.

  50. Cheryl Bryant says:

Greetings to the family and church members of Dr.Tims…I am still in shock over his death…he was a true light in this world of darkness…no one knows how or why God opted to take him home…now we must keep our eyes on Jesus in every situation…depression is a spirit the can be overcome by the word of God…who really cares what the cause of death was he is gone…keep the wife, kids and church family in prayer…if you fell depressed or lonely DO NOT STAY IN THAT PLACE GET HELP AND GET OUT!!!
