On July 24, 2011, same-sex couples legally began marrying in New York. The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force stated: “Today the doors of marriage equality swing open in New York. It’s no surprise a flood of same-sex couples is expected to flow through. Some have literally waited decades for this historic moment. We are thrilled for the couples who will marry today, tomorrow, the next day, and beyond. To finally be able to share and celebrate one’s love and commitment legally and publicly is a lifelong dream for many couples and families. Until you have walked in the shoes of someone who has been denied this fundamental freedom — a rite that bonds us as a people — it is hard to comprehend just how profoundly moving this moment is. Today is a day to rejoice and celebrate.â€

Saints of God we need to bond closer together. This is an abomination and God is going to have the last say. These are the signs of the end. May the blessing of God be upon His people to keep us in such a time as this.
It was a voted decision. So American voters have spoken. We are so condition to except lies, this lie along with the real orgin of Christmas and Easter will remain. No need to scream about it now…it’s a done deal and YOU (speaking universal) allowed it. Just live it out and wait for the judgement.
Christains, stop throwing stones. You are guilty of some pretty disgusting closet activities. Natural and physical. It is what it is. Like you embraced the holiday lies, embrace same sex marriage. It’s about love right? Between adults, No matter how “un natural” it appears. God will judge them, like he will judge you.
While it is not too late, our reactions show once again that we are easily distracted from the main things that impact our families. While we have been getting our praise on…Satan has been maticulously infiltrating and corrupting the moral fabric of our families. Sadly, our African-American President is being used to promote the tolerance of this and we have to now make a moral decision about our voting habits. We asked for it and we got it. Now, “If My people, who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways, then, I will hear from heaven; I will forgive their sins and I will heal the land.”
Christians make me laugh. They are always categorize others that don’t look or act like them. What about judging. Its a sin. Sin is sin. No sin is different than the other. Don’t judge me.
I am not surprised about this happening. This is what happens when the Kingdom is sleeping…worried about who is doing what to whom, who has the hottest conference and what is the latest trend in “The Kingdom”. That is called sleeping with your eyes open. So this passes in New York, what do we do now? Refocus and unite and let our voices be heard all over again. Take a stand in your local ministries and PREACH THE STATUES AND THE STANDARDS OF GOD.
Our society is infiltrated with this particularly BOLD spirit that says, “Say something about me and watch what I will do”. Some ministries are held captive in hush mode because, if they take a stand then their Government Faith Based Funding is in jeopardy. The worst thing about it all to me is this, we are not against people, this is a spirit that we are after. Just like alcoholism, drug addiction, lying, cheating, and deception you name it is contrary to the Word of God. The Bible declares that we MUST contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints. (Jude 1:3)
We are so hush hush about the taboo things, that on the day of Judgment, there are gonna be a lot of folks paying the reward for not speaking the truth in love. (Ephesians 4:14-15) Are we to judge? No way, but the Bible says, try the spirit whether they are of God. (1 John 4:1). Put that thing on blast, but in love. We have a responsibility to hold up the BLOOD STAINED BANNER.
The resident Christians of not only NY State but every state this is already a law should not be outraged that this now legal. The outrage should be directed at themselves for staying silent while this passed through the legislative system. The entire gay/lesbian/trans (GLT) community DOES NOT OUTNUMBER CHRISTIANS! While we heard that this bill was on the table we sat back and said amongst ourselves how sinful this is, it’s wrong, blah, blah, blah. You know what the GLT community did? They called & emailed their State Rep’s almost to the point of harassment asking them to support this bill. They used the system as it is all of our rights to do and guess what? It works if you work it! Grandpa used to say it’s the squeaky wheel that gets the most oil.
The question I want to pose to all of those who are “outraged†do you know who your State Reps are and do you know how to contact them? And then the most important question of all is did you tell them that you’re against same sex marriages and they should vote that way?
To our Religious leaders: Now is the time for you to step up and speak up because it’s right around the corner and they’re gearing up to pass legislation where if you preach what the Bible says about homosexuality it would be a hate crime and you could go to jail. Are we to sit back and say it’s a shame they want to do that or will we finally start squeaking as loud as or louder than them.
We are commanded to love everyone with the same love that God loves us. Our love toward all should be evident as we walk what we talk. God loves them just as much as he does you. He hates their sin just as much as he hates yours. For the record there are no varying degrees of sin with God. From stealing, lying, fornicating to committing murder. It’s all the same to God and there is still room at the cross because the blood is still flowing.
If you’re reading this then you have access to find out how to contact your local elected officials. Contact them now. We have to stand up and let our voices be heard out of love not hate. If not now when?
People are always talking about judging or not judging. This is just a cop out to continue doing what ever one wants to do and don[t say anything about it. I had a deacon at a church where I pastored to tell me not to be telling people what right or wrong, they already know they are right or wrong. True! But, it is the responsibility of the preacher to preach the truth of the word of God which is our standard for living. We judge rightfully so all the time as we reprimand our children, make decisions in a court of law, preach controversial things from the Word. This is clearly an abomination for all civilized nations. If this is right, then we must apologize to Sodom & Gomorrah for what they did. God or any Christian or believer with integrity has to believe this type of behavior is wrong. We have to have a standard, and His Word is the standard regardless to who it hurts, upsets, or goes against the grain of one[s beliefs. IT IS SIMPLY NOT NORMAL. Isn[t it strange how generations of nations start out abhorring degenerate behaviors, then move to acceptance of the same behaviors as normal? This type of thinking has brought down many major civilizations in history, i.e. The Rise and FALL of the Roman Empire. I can remember when such things were better to just keep it to yourself–now, we also have churches condoning this same type of behavior. Preachers and churches in favor of this degenerate behavior. Now, what was TABOO or UNTHINKABLE has become accepted and treated as NORMAL. NORMAL? NORMAL? NORMAL! Just because something becomes accepted by a large number of people does not make it right. Josiah faced similar circumstances when he revolted and pulled out the book of the Law causing a revival of principle, etc. 2 Kings 22.1-13, Josiah took a stand to stand for right not for what was popular or politically correct–so he stood “Against the Flow” of accepted immoral practices. There needs to be a return back to the basics of the Word. I kkow that there are those who don[t practice Christianity or believe the Bible. But, for the sake of human decency and civilized behavior, let[s revolt against wrong and STAND UP FOR RIGHT!
The Saints Of Old & The Churches of old would not have allowed this. They would have called Fasting all around The World. & Shut Ins. The Politicians, Media & People would have been afraid of The Old Churches , Saints & The Way They lived for God & Represented God to think of Legalizing This. All thats happening Today with Churches on every corner shows that the People & Politicians have no respect for us & The Way we represent the Lord.

This is the REAL PROBLEM!!!!!! ……the quietness of the church! EVERY Sunday, The LOUD praises go up! Within 4 walls. But not a SINGLE word to government!! ..this didn’t happen over night.. It’s been looming for years.. yet, the church said NOTHING! Now… The church has everything to say about it! Where were the BIG CHURCH LEADERS..???? Why is there, currently, no politically affluent representative(s) on a national level, that represent the interests of the church of JESUS, the CHRIST !?!?! strong enough to influence the outcome of public votes ..let’s see how strong we are ..as a ‘CHURCH’ to get this foolishness Recinded!!…. OR ARE WE GONNA STAY SILENT AND LET THE DEVIL RUN RAMPANT!?!?!
Now you want to be outraged (really now). how much inward fighting is going on within all the thousands of denominations. We are split to the core, young people no longer Trust what is being said to them, they have seen and heard to much at the dinner room table. Too busy with the prosperity hype , a conference every other day about what ? You were not outrage about Bishop Eddie Long now you want to get on on blogs and holler. Pray then take ACTION , Stand up and fight back for what is right or SHUT UP.

Very sure that the same people who perform the marriages of the same sex have read this verse before Leviticus 18:22 is translated: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”they are just choosing to ignore the bible but the truth is Homosexuality is absolutely forbidden, for it is an enormous sin” and also Do not practice homosexuality; it is a detestable sin. why choose to sin in the first place it was not allowed before coz it didn’t look good. ive never heard anywhere in the world pple who are supposed to marry male and female being told not to marry coz its right and holy its so unfortunate that people think that they are born Gay but the question is in the times of my grandpas and grandmas it was not there and they never used to fight for such acts /rights am not blaming the church am a christian and not blaming anyone here but recently i heard one of the Gospel preachers coming out in public and addressed on homosexuality and how he was molested when he was eight years old …which i think it was the right thing to do and very many have been delivered by the mercies of God .we abuse the grace of God but Grace doesn’t give up on us ..those who are committing this sin the thing is you can come out from it and run to the cross and receive the mercies of God and get delivered it is possible but don’t just sit there and think all things will be ok and think that you were born gay that is not the right thing to do and according to my understanding that’s why God put a male(ADAM) and female( EVE)in the garden of EDEN he didst put two Adams or two eves its very simple understanding to know that it is wrong and all preachers should not tolerate this thing of preaching the Gospel in fear we are past those times where preachers used to be taken to Jail for such issues plus its better to die for Christ than sinning . We as the body of Christ we should stand up and fight back for what is right and come out and address to church folks that homosexuality is wrong and abomination and also parents should talk to their kids on this issue coz it seems the devil is messing up our kids and by the time we know it its too late God is merciful and can save you from such acts as he saved and delivered the Gospel artist that i mentioned earlier .
I truly don’t understand why so many people are expressing so much anger as if this was unexpected. We are living in the last hour. Our world is becoming perverted more and more everyday. Where is the love and labor, as last day Christians, to help win those who are lost? You can be appalled and disgusted with what they are doing and truth be told you should have the same sentiment for all sin. With that being said, what are you doing to love them, be a witness, pray for them, demonstrate the love power of God to them?
Many of you need to spend less time being disgusted and more time loving the way God does and working His will so the lost can be saved. Remember, Jesus wasn’t harsh with the sinner. He was harsh with the religious. Being harsh with the lost…will not win them to Christ.
Here’s a thought everyone: Should we then be O.K with the notion of bringing back slavery to the Americas since the bible was used to justify the enslavement of Africans?
Throughout history, society has used God’s word to persecute and punish the “undesirables” and countercultures in our society. Words from the bible have been used to justify an attack on the middle class in the 1500′s, slavery in the America’s, Jim Crow, and now the “illegalization” of Gay Marriage.
Many historians have studied the origin of marriage as we know it today, and it actually goes back to the Elizabethan era when the institution of marriage was not based on family values and love, but instead was just a way to combine the assets and land of two families.
Did you all know that Ghandi (revered by multitudes of people around the world) was drawn to Christianity as a young man, but when he went to a church one day, he was sent away and told to go “worship with people who look like him”… Perhaps he might have been one of the greatest Christian theologians of his time if he were shown the love of Christ that we all know.
The thing that bothers me about all of these hateful, bigoted responses is that you are turning away so many curious, potential lovers of Christ because you all are too busy trying to punish the “guilty”. Why not preach the love of Christ that we all know he has for ALL of us. That is the most important message we have received from Christ; he died so that we may live an eternal afterlife. Preach that, not fire and brimstone. You’ll catch more flies with honey.
The ACT of sex between a male and a male, or between a woman and a woman….ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD… IS SIN! …period. In order to “justify” this act in the face of community, the Gay/lesbian organization clothed it under the disguise of a ‘legitimate marriage’, ‘marriage equality’, ‘love’. YES.. Jesus loves them.. But, GOD will condemn and judge the ACT OF SIN… ALL SIN ..including the “WHOREMONGER” (research the word and what it meant at the time the scripture was written’ and in the language it was written IN!) the shame is: society has given LICENSE to this behavior. Why not give license to other sin and use the rationale of ‘the right to survive, or eat, or to have’ as a justification to give license to other seedy and/or shameful, behavior? This is not about slavery, the bible was used INCORRECTLY to justify slavery just as it’s used INCORRECTLY to justify SAME SEX MARRIAGES!! Usually, those who know nothing about the bible, use it for their rationale or justification. Never studied it, in the original languages, culturally, geographically, historically; couldn’t explain the study methods used for thousands of years, but yet, with a bold face.. Explain to you what “Marriage”, as used in the bible, means! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
Wow! If these are some of the Christians that are going to be in heaven, that’s scary. I wonder how many of them have been divorced (since only 50% of heterosexual marriages last). Isn’t this a sin in the eyes of God?
I wonder how many of these heterosexual Christians are sleeping with “child molesters” (since data shows that most of them are “heterosexual”. First, hetero-men, then hetero-women).
Isn’t GREAT to know that when we die and make it to heaven, we are not going to know each other, reconize each other.
Let God be the judge of as individuals. As Christians were are called to LOVE not judge and not hate. Should sex before marriage be made illegal? Should it be illegal to tell a lie? A sin is a sin, but marriage according to the United States Government is not governed by the laws of Christ. Get over it. Why don’t you take all that God fearing energy and help the poverty, and forgotten children in our communities instead of trying to break up and keep apart loving families.
