The image of Christian women is under siege. Don’t believe me? All you have to do is to go to any beauty salon or day spa and look through the stacks of magazines; there are so few examples of Christian modesty.

With the abundance of highly sexualized images bombarding today’s sisters it’s no wonder women of all ages suffer from eating disorders, low self-esteem and worse.

Thank God that there are forward thinking women like Kyla Latrice and her partners, Dr. Andrea Lowe and Jessica Timmons. These divinely-inspired divas have answered the call to change the face of advertising from a “Satanic mirage” to a “Godly image” of what beauty really is—for the benefit of women everywhere—by creating Lady Mirage, an Entertainment & Talent Agency. Their calling, says Kyla, “is to transform women’s lives through fashion, business, print media and entertainment.

“We are not your typical “modeling agency” or women in the industry. We deal with the images of women & girls and how they see themselves, how others see them and how they are portrayed in society.

“We strive to decrease rejection [which is a mirage], being overlooked, lewdness, lust, perversion and societal ills in communities and entertainment. We want our models and women in general to portray a Christ centered image.”

The agency was founded in 2005 with Isaiah 62:10 as a foundational scripture, which reads, “Go out through the gates! Prepare the highway for my people to return! Smooth out the road; pull out the boulders; raise a flag for all the nations to see.”

Lady Mirage offers a menu of services that includes models, hair stylists and in one place. The Agency is unique in its selection of models, in that they look beyond the physical attributes. A model is evaluated on the basis of educational background, community service and business experience. This philosophy has produced a roster of multi-talented, multi-dimensional models that do more than just “look good.” One example is a model that holds a degree in engineering and is beyond the modeling assignment, is helping the client structure a retail merchandising program.
Kudos to Lady Mirage!
