“Jumping the Broom” came in THIRD PLACE theaters across the nation last week! The movie is undoubtedly the most mainstream of all Bishop Jakes’ productions and performed extremely well.

According to www.examiner.com, “No one expected “Jumping the Broom” to contend with “Thor,” or overtake “Fast Five” at the box office, and it didn’t, but that doesn’t mean that this small African-American romantic comedy didn’t pull in decent numbers during its opening weekend.

“While “Thor” raked in $66 million this weekend, and “Fast Five” held onto the second spot with $32 million, “Jumping the Broom” came in third with $13.7 million, followed by another romantic comedy, “Something Borrowed,” which made $13.1 million.”

Unlike a number of “Christian-themed” films, Bishop Jakes confirmed that “Jumping the Broom” is a movie produced by Christian that doesn’t necessarily target “Christian” audiences only. It’s message is positive but its plot isn’t biblically aligned. According to Bishop Jakes, “We have to have a conversation that goes into all the world!”

  1. Movies can be used to reach a diverse group & can get messages out to audiences ,we as Pastors could never reach. My Family & I plan to watch the movie Sunday after dinner as we did on Resurrection Sunday.

I went to see “Jump the Broom” It was refreshing to see a family movies w/o cursing and a realist theme about family differences. I am thrill to learn this movie came in 3rd. Look at God.

My comments are not popular I know this friends, I choose to follow the entire bible with Jesus as my Commander and King. In the 21st Century I’m learning not to Trust anyone with “Bishop” as a first name or as a Christian Authority. They twist the truth of God’s Word to fit there agenda. I have yet to meet a Bishop that didn’t act like he was taking the place of Jesus Christ and wanting to be worshiped instead of Christ. Bishop Jakes teaming with a “drag queen” and “comedian” is not True Christianity, I don’t care who follows them, it’s not real Christianity and Jesus Christ is not endorsing these people.

Friends, I know you are calling me all kinds of names by now. To be a Christian according to biblical standards set down in the book of Acts and beyond is not popular in the world today. There are religious leaders redefining what they want you to believe a Christian ought to be, same thing Satan did with Eve in the Garden, changing the Word of God to suit you personally. I’m sorry Christian friends but I personally think T.D. Jakes and his crew is leading Christians down the wrong road away from the Real Jesus Christ and his Kingdom to the Kingdom of this World which is ran by Satan the god of this world.

You have been warned who continue to follow this man.
