Gospel Today TV Show Dropped from The Word Network

Atlanta, GA — On Friday, January 21, 2011, Dr. Teresa Hairston announced Gospel Today TV has been removed from the show lineup on The Word Network. The show dismissal is effective immediately. “I was disturbed by the The Word Network’s sudden decision to drop the show,” said Teresa Hairston, publisher of Gospel Today magazine and host of Gospel Today TV. “However, I’m encouraged by God’s Word, which reminds me that all things work together for good, to those who love God, and to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Gospel Today TV is a 30-minute gospel newsmagazine show hosted by Hairston.
Another division of the Gospel Today brand, the Gospel Today Update, is an informational segment which airs on Total Christian Television’s (TCT) “I’m Just Sayin’”, hosted by Rev. Dan Willis. Hairston also hosts the weekly “Gospel Today Update†radio show heard on ABC’s Rejoice! Network and SGN’s The Light Network.
The Gospel Today brand is comprised of Gospel Today Magazine, Gospel Today TV, The Gospel Heritage Foundation, the Gospel Heritage Praise and Worship Conference. Dr. Teresa Hairston also is the author of two books: How to Pursue Your Purpose and Make Your Vision Vivid.

I am really sorry to hear that the program was dropped, but don’t stop there. Check out O.W.N, the Oprah Winfrey Network. They are looking for topics of interest for people who want their own show. Upon reading about being drop for the word network channel; I remembered when God closes one window He opens another one. I stated windows because there are more windows in a building then doors. Give God the glory. May God continue to bless and open many more windows for you.
Well, Dr. Hairston, maybe this your season to come up a little higher and perhaps “a little higher†could mean TV One!
I am disappointed that The Word Network (TWN) has released your show. Personally, I am becoming more and more disappointed the TWN, because the network that started out as a culturally based channel, is selling out to those that are nothing more than peddlers of the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. These peddlers sell their water, promote their miracle crusades that are a joke and let’s not forget the $1000 seed plans to get you out of debt & into a “blessingâ€, but you got to give that $1000 first- “it’s only a 100 of you out there”. Knowing good and well that thousands are about to sow a seed for million dollar miracle that they will never receive. Okay I’m done.
Recommendation, place your 30 minute segment on your site. It’s much cheaper and millions can tune whenever they want to get an update. 24 hours a day.

You have been an inspiration to me for years since you first came to our church, New Life Christian Fellowship, and I know from reading your book that disappoints causes you to work hard, reach deeper, and excell even more. I was never able to see your show because I had cable television, but like one of the other comments if you just put it on this website you will save a lot of money that you can put into other projects that God has you doing or another thought can be blogradio, which is getting alot of attention right now.
