We have been tremendously touched by the Sapp’s story. Our prayers were with Lady Malinda during her illness and we fervently cover Pastor Marvin and their three children daily. We trust God to see them through mourning to peace.

God Bless you and the children

  5. Teresa this was an absolutely beautiful tribute to a phenomenal woman. I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Dr. Malinda but I could see her true beauty radiating from deep within her spirit, through her smile and her eyes. What a wonderful, shining example of a phenomenal woman. Our prayers are with the entire family… however, I feel like she laid a strong foundation and with the strength of the Lord they will make it through. Thank you for pulling this together, I know it took a lot of work and a lot of love.

  6. Sandra Butler says:

  7. pastor sap, now is the time to reflect back on the songs that have ministered to countless souls, NEVER WOULD HAVE MADE IT, i remember an interview saying that was only the chorus and not the whole song, but your wife encourage you to produced it when you thought it was only for you and the untold depths of your personal storm. THE DIARY OF A PSALMIST is powerful also, every one of those song and let’s not forget THIRSTY and your latest. remember your rose was full bloom and her the fragance of her life to God, you, family and friends still penetrate the atmosphere of your thoughts and memories which still lives. God came to get her because she was ready and her mission was accomplished, her course was finished. STAND, BE STRONG, HOLD ON. in our prayers most definitely she saw the best in you even when others saw somethings to, but she saw more.

  8. NuCreation Music says:

Tastefully done as I would expect from Dr. Teresa Hairston.

My prayers are with Pastor Sapp and his family. It is hard to realistically understand what Marvin is going through when I still have my own wife with me each night.

I watched the streamed video of the funeral and found it hard to hold back tears for a woman I’ve never met; thanking God that her suffering was over while asking Him to help my brother through this and keep him strong for his family.

The valuable lesson in this is to cherish each day with our loved ones as if each day could be the last and knowing that our faith and trust in God is there to strengthen and stabilize us in difficult seasons.

For we are not to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

Therefore we encourage each other with these words.

  9. Thank you for a wonderful tribute fitting for one of royalty such as Malinda P. Sapp. Our prayers are daily w/Marvin and the three children and Malinda’s mother. Marvin is a chosen vessel whom God has used to consistently show the world that through adversity greatness is born, developed, and excels. Be encouraged my brother that as you wonder why you consider the servant Job. I can only imagine the pain that you feel but God will wipe away your tears and mend your broken heart BUT in the process there is a ministry of song that will once again be birthed that globablly your impact will be felt. Never minimize the gift that you are to the body of Christ my brother. We are praying your healing and success in God.

  10. Cheryl says:

AWESOME tribute. My heart goes out to the Sapp family for the lost of their beloved wife, mother and daughter. However, I know that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is forever releasing His everlasting love upon them guiding them to a life of peace and understanding.

Pastor Sapp, I know that you have endured a lot over the past few years with the lost of your father, mentor and now your wife. But through it all you have manage to stand before the devil letting him know that you will not be defeated.

I thank God for you, your music and most of all your courage. Be still, be strong, stand tall and hold on because God is not through with you yet.

  11. To Pastor Marvin Sapp and family,Look to the hills which come our help, Our help comes from the Lord. Praying and believing the comfort of God rest on you.
